Appearance Updates and an Anne Bishop Giveaway!
I’ve updated my appearances for 2015 on the website, so be sure to check them out so you can plan your stalking schedule accordingly. I’ll be signing at Wizard World Saint Louis this Friday the 22nd through Sunday the 24th along with Jay Noel if you’d like to get an early start.
Now then, what’s the cause for this epic giveaway you ask? I’m happy to tell you I signed on with a new agency, Gandolfo Helin & Fountain. I’m very, very excited to be working with this awesome team. The only downside here is that the new steampunk series, Steamborn, is going to be a little delayed on the release schedule. Trust me though, it’s going to be worth the wait.
We’re here to celebrate with a Worrible, a signed copy of Vision in Silver, and a signed Vesik paperback of your choice. Best of luck!
New Vesik Novelette and a Giveaway
There’s a new Vesik novelette in the anthology, When Destiny Calls. It’s only available for a limited time, and you can snag it for free on iBooks, Amazon, B&N, or Kobo.
I had a lot of fun with this one. Five authors in five different genres were given the same writing prompts, and we all ran with it. I decided to tie it into the Vesik books in the aftermath of This Broken World. It isn’t told from Damian’s perspective, but you’ll see a familiar face or two.
Also included are stories by Jessica Cage (Paranormal), Lara Henley (Thriller / Suspense), Elizabeth Miller (Romance), and Krissy V (Contemporary Romance).
Be sure to enter the giveaway this week! One winner will receive four signed paperbacks, including a Vesik book of choice, Jay Noel’s Dragonfly Warrior, and two books from Shane Moore.
Patricia Briggs Giveaway, a Vesik Novelette, and a Steampunk Update
We haven’t done a giveaway in a while, and this seems like an excellent time do it. Why, you ask? Well, I’m glad you asked, even if you didn’t ask. Last week we went to a Patricia Briggs signing, and now I have an extra signed copy of Dead Heat to give away! Oh, and a mini-Panda from Squishable.com in honor of Happy the ghost panda. Be sure to enter below!
In other news, we’re putting the final touches on a new novelette that will appear in the upcoming When Destiny Calls anthology. It takes place in the aftermath of This Broken World, and follows Cornelius’s apprentice, Beth.
We’re also now editing the steampunk serial some of you may have seen me rambling about. It’s a fun story filled with giant insects and steam powered gadgetry and I can’t wait to share it with you all. Oh, and just wait until you see the cover art … 😀
Coastal Magic Convention 2015
Have you ever met someone you’ve respected for years and years? Read their books, admired their work, recommended their writing to all your friends? And then ambushed them with a Worrible? I highly recommend it.
I’ve been reading Julie Kenner‘s Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series for almost ten years now. Sitting on a panel with her and a slew of other amazing authors was somewhat crazy and very awesome.
CMC15 was a wild ride of meeting some amazing new-to-me authors, bloggers, and readers. Seeing some of my old friends was icing on the cake.
And the other panels! I was on several, and got to observe several more. Just fantastic. They were serious at times, hilarious at others, and full of more information than I can possibly remember. The events were fantastic too, particularly Damon Suede’s infamous Cinema Craptastique performance.
I loved the intimacy of the convention. Not too big, not too small, but still busy busy busy. It’s one that every fan of PNR, UF, and Fantasy should come visit. Jennifer did an amazing job.
Hildie McQueen, Tina Wainscott, and Larissa Ione. To quote Larissa, EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!
Paige Tyler (who has been converted to a Squishable.com fan), Julie Kenner, Christina Farley, Coreene Callahan, and Angie Fox.
Christopher Rice, Elliott James (who has some serious model making skills with twist ties), and Vaughn Demont.
Our awesome meet and greet with Tere Michaels, Jess Haines, and Kait Ballenger. We played bingo! No, seriously.
I seem to be missing a photo from How Real is Your Fantasy with Nancy Holzner, J A Souders, Maureen McGowan, Terry Spear, Chudney Thomas, and Rane Sjodin.
My main point being, come next year!
Wolves and the River of Stone Audiobook
The audiobook for Wolves and the River of Stone, the second book in the Vesik series, has been released! It’s available now on Audible, iTunes, and Amazon. William Dufris is back! If you enjoyed him on Days Gone Bad, you’re going to love his work on Wolves and the River of Stone. You may have heard him before on audiobooks by Stephen King, John Scalzi, Neal Stephenson, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
If you’re going to be in the Daytona Beach area February 5th – 8th, you should drop by the Coastal Magic Convention. I’ll be there for the whole convention, and there are a slew of fantastic authors scheduled to make appearances.
