A battle lost. A friend fallen. Cue the heroic undead…
Vicky shouldn’t be alive. Knowing she has necromancer Damian Vesik to thank for her second chance, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to return the favor.
Damian is lost, trapped inside a corrupted shell of his own power and entwined with the Fae called Hern. Time is running out as Damian loses more of himself with every passing moment, bringing the necromancer one step closer to oblivion.
But Vicky isn’t the only one who aims to stop the colossus. Damian’s allies are rallying, ready to go to battle for their chimichanga-loving friend. Time will tell if it’s enough to bring him back from the brink, though the Mad King’s ambitions may have already doomed them all.

“It was PHENOMENAL! Do not second guess yourself! Get this book! Read the full series! Read Eric R Asher’s full catalog! You can NOT go wrong!” – Ellis Pink
“I have enjoyed the Vesik series from the very first chapter I read and have been hooked ever since! The series is fun, the characters are relatable and lovable/hateable at the same time. Eric Asher builds on each preceding story to continue developing characters that feel “real” somehow. This is the first in a new series of novellas that Eric is writing to take the story in new directions and I love it!” – LDDush
“I love the new approach the author is taking with these novellas. For those unaware (SPOILER FREE EXPLANATION), Vesik is not able to host his book this time around and so the author is releasing a series of novellas mainly from one character’s POV. This time around, everyone’s favorite former Destroyer, Vicky, gets the spotlight. The main story is advanced and we get a lot of character development for her (as well as a bombshell or two for the main universe). Best yet, we do not have to wait for a full novel to be completed to read the next story! The novella is still large enough to justify not waiting for all the tales to be released if you are not a fan of short reads.” – Andrea
“I thought the last book was heart-stopping and nerve-wracking, but that one had nothing on this one! I ripped through this book so fast because so much was happening that I had to find out what was going to happen. The suspense was killing me! I tried to slow down and savor the experience but was completely unable to. I knew that if I read too fast then I would get to the end and then have to wait for the next one. I guess I didn’t care that much ultimately, because I didn’t listen and just plowed on through. I think if you’re this far along on the journey that is Damian Vesik and friends, then you just need to get this book and see what is going to happen. I definitely can’t wait for the next one. This one ended way too soon in my opinion, but then again, all the books in this series do. #AlwaysWantMore #TwoMostHatedWordsToAReaderAreTheEnd” – I Feel the Need, the Need to Read book blog
