    These two installments are a bit edgier than I recall the first six having been. Every bit of the wise-cracking necromancer with a a heart as big as St. Louis as I've come to know him and his band of misfits. Definitely a fun read.

    Eric Asher continues to write this series with character integrity and continuity that other authors cannot manage. Each book in the series builds on its predecessor and ties up loose ends from the prior books while subtly fraying at the rope to make new loose ends. Like a great beverage or food you just can't stop at one bite, you want, no you need just a little more to feel satisfied. This series in amazing and I eagerly await each new adventure with Vessik, Foster and the gang to see what mischief they can come up with to keep their lives interesting. Get the box set, buy each book separately, it doesn't matter, just read these books!!

    Love this series. I love even more that the author keeps making box sets to make it even easier to enjoy.
    There is a fantastic balance between the humor between characters and the absolute destruction of their world. You may cry at some point in this series but the author always makes sure you laugh way more. This series has a little bit of something for everyone. Necromancy, fae, skeletal pirate birds in control of a bone ship, gods, mages,...the list goes on and on and they are all seamlessly woven together to make a fantastic tale.

    I absolutely loved it! This book caught my attention from the very beginning and held it throughout the entire book. The narration was superb and gave the story that extra flair! The author did an excellent job with the character builds and plot. I love that you get 2 stories in this book. I look forward to reading more books in this series! I was given a free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

    Seriously, get this box set.. You wont regret it. Unless you don't like really awesome deals then you're probably crazy. Bonus, if you read this series back to back you will get the best dreams ever or at least I did. Scared the boyfriend thought, said I was talking in my sleep all creepy like saying "you're not welcomed here" or something like that. HA. This series is a blast to read, tons of actions and sarcastic humor. The characters are ones you'll grow attached to with every paged turned. So don't be crazy get the box set..
